Marilyn came to PDS early in 2004 on a six month assignment as the acting CEO. She became engaged with the organization, its mission, and its staff, and has been with PDS since that time
Marilyn has a degree in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan (1981) with a major in Animal Science. She has also received designation as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) through the Canadian Society of Association Executives. Her prior work life was within the livestock sector with a special interest in the pork industry. She has broad work experience within that sector with progressively senior roles in both private industry and the provincial government in Saskatchewan.
In her current role, Marilyn manages a budget of over 8 million and a staff of veterinary diagnosticians, laboratory technologists and administrative personnel. Her focus is on building a strong and efficient business and service culture that delivers on the unique needs of PDS’ diverse client and stakeholder groups.
Marilyn and her husband Don have three children, ranging from their mid teens to their early 20’s. The family resides in Saskatoon after spending the previous 20 plus years in small town Saskatchewan.
