What diagnostic tests are offered at PDS?

How do we get a sample to PDS?

Courier companies (e.g. Purolator, DHL, Fed Ex) will deliver to PDS from Monday to Friday. Collect service by Purolator is available with the cost invoiced to the submitting clinic. Bus companies (STC and Greyhound), and local couriers will provide delivery Monday to Saturday. Submissions can be delivered in person to PDS.

How long before results can be expected?

Our test guide lists the approximate turn around time from sample receipt to reporting of results. Turn-Around-Time (TAT) is based on working days and does not include weekends or holidays. STAT service can be provided on certain tests. Please contact PDS to make arrangements. 

What about wildlife samples?

The Canadian Cooperative Wildlife Health Centre (CCWHC) has its Western/Northern headquarters within WCVM. If you have any questions regarding submitting a wildlife sample please contact the CCWHC at 306-966-5815.
